About Poundesk

A Deaf-led, family-owned emotional literacy brand — built from lived experience, cultural pride, and a deep belief that every child deserves a language for what they feel.

A young child sits on the floor reading a book, wearing a warm jacket — representing the curious, joyful learner that Poundesk's emotional literacy tools are designed for.

A K-12 hub for inclusive social and emotional learning

Poundesk is a family-owned business operated by a Deaf mother and son duo. We create high-quality, visual learning tools that foster inclusivity, accessibility, and emotional engagement.

In Deaf culture, students pound on desks to call for attention — the visual equivalent of raising your hand or calling out. It's a moment of self-advocacy, of being seen. Poundesk takes that act and turns it into a brand identity: every product we create is rooted in the desire to be heard, to belong, and to have tools that make learning feel like yours.

Our products are thoughtfully designed to support BIPOC and Deaf learners by making education inclusive, engaging, and culturally responsive.

Education should be accessible to all learners — our products empower equity, communication, and hands-on learning so that students of all backgrounds can thrive.
